Squeaky, crunchy
The squeaky sound cold, dry snow makes underfoot.
Festive Sunken Gardens
The Sunken Gardens are decorated all festively, I just realized. Looks great!
Perfect temp…
Going running in shorts in late December? Believe it! It’s beautiful out.
Minced garlic
Mincing up some garlic reminded me of my dad’s garden. It’s another one of those nostalgic, memory-packed smells.
Lunar eclipse tonight!
The moon’s surrounded by clouds that look like a magician’s cape. It’s fitting because the moon’s about to do a magic trick…
Non-traditional decorations
Along I-29 I saw a hubcap hanging in a tree like some sort of over-sized Christmas ornament. Don’t know how it got there, but… #noticebeauty
Lofty aspirations
Metal shopping cart at the grocery store did its best impression of a harp strum when my coat’s zipper brushed against it.
I was filming snow falling, when one flake decided it was ready for its closeup.
Smell trapper
My apartment traps cooking smells. At times this is a good thing—yesterday I made fudge and my apartment still smells chocolatey. <3
High winds and dry snow created currents running along I-80 (music in the background: Bing & Bowie).
Let's be unseasonable
Lack of jacket, lack of discomfort—in December!
Cardboard+frost+sun
A weathered cardboard box in a field was made stunning thanks to a shiny layer of frost and the morning sun.
Unlike in cartoons…
Streetlamp turned on just as I walked beneath it. Felt cheated that I didn’t have a stroke of genius at that exact moment.
Wind+beard
The feel of the wind whipping through my beard* is a strange sensation, but I like it. :P *I’ve never had a beard before!
